CeMAP® - Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice...

CeMAP is the qualification required by those wishing to provide customers with mortgage advice.

CeMAP is the premier mortgage qualification that is recognised by the Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC) and is established as the qualification of choice in the financial services industry.

The CeMAP qualification is accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority at level 3 in the National Qualifications Framework.

CeMAP consists of three modules as follows:

CeMAP One - Module One - UK Financial Regulation

Unit 1 - Introduction to the Financial Services Environment and Products (1hr Examination 50 MCQ's)

Unit 2 - Financial Services and Regulation (1hr Examination 50 MCQ's)

CeMAP Two - Module Two - Mortgages

Unit 3 - Mortgage Law, Policy, Practice and Markets (30 mins Examination 25 MCQ's)

Unit 4 - Mortgage Applications (30 mins Examination 25 MCQ's)

Unit 5 - Mortgage Payment Methods and Products (30 mins Examination 25 MCQ's)

Unit 6 - Mortgage Arrears and Post-Completion Issues (30 mins Examination 25 MCQ's)

CeMAP Three - Module Three - Assessment of Mortgage Advice Knowledge

2 hr Examination - 6 case studies with 10 MCQ's each

All CeMAP examinations are multiple-choice, and can be sat at a choice of over 150 test locations throughout the United Kingdom subject to availability. Each CeMAP Module examination last for 2 hours and the results are provided to you before you leave the testing centre. Registration with the Institute of Financial Services (Ifs) for each module cost £135 (£405 total cost for CeMAP 1, 2 & 3) and is valid for 12 months. Registration includes the Ifs learning manual and an examination entry.
